A man has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty in a case in which a woman was attacked in 2015.

In an indictment obtained by The News Journal, Darryl D. O’Neill of the 5100 block of South Mound Street in Riverview pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon after a beating involving a metal bat.

Prosecutors said the woman suffered a traumatic brain injury, lost teeth and has vision and hearing limitations caused by repeated head trauma.

O’Neill admitted to throwing the bat at the victim, but denied hitting her and asked authorities to classify it as a violent assault, prosecutors said. He was sentenced at U.S. District Court in Fort Worth to 10 years i우리카지노n prison.

According to the indictment, on Sept. 9, 2015, the victim was walking from a bar to her car with her boyfriend when she was approached by O’Neill outside of the bar.

O’Neill allegedly punched the victim, causing her to fall face-first into the street. She sustained extensive head injuries, including a skull fra바카라cture, a nose fracture, deep cuts and marks across her body and a severe concussion.

Prosecutors said it took about eight minutes for the woman to realize O’Neill, who was wearing a baseball hat and sunglasses, was behind her.

Court documents showed a cellphone was found inside the car that contained video of the attack as well as a photo of the woman’s eye. The woman said at the time O’Neill picked up her cellphone and showed her the cellphone on his shoulder.

Court records said on April 19, 2016, police searched O’Neill’s apartment, but found no cellphone with him.

O’Neill pleaded guilty to aggravated battery, second-degree assault and first-degree attempted murder in July 2013.
